Reflecting on my life today, and thinking about this crazy thing we call time.
Sixty–yikes, yes!–60 years ago today my mother and I began our special mother-daughter relationship.
Thirty years ago, I married my college sweetheart. We worked hard together to raise two of the most wonderful daughters. Can’t believe he will be retiring at the end of the month. How did this happen so quickly?
Twenty-five years ago, my dear friend and co-author, Diana McClun, and I launched our first book, Quilts! Quilts!! Quilts!!! Its success encouraged a second edition in 1997, and I am so pleased to announce that we have been given the gift of offering yet a third edition of this quilting classic! It will be released in October from Breckling Press.
There are so many other memories flooding my mind today and I would love to share more, but time marches on and I am spending the day working to meet a deadline to get this newest “baby” off to the printer so it will arrive in time for its delivery date: Fall Quilt Market in Houston this October.
I know you will love this book. We’ve included 28 new quilts, plus teaching samplers for beginners. I can’t wait for you to see it! (If you don’t have a copy of the Second Edition, there are still some available, although it will soon be out of print.)
