Kirsten is a quilter, soccer mom, and writing teacher living in Oakland, California. Early interest in graphic design and photography led her to take some courses in typography, color, and graphic design during college. Desperate desire to have a creative outlet after the first of her two children was born led her to buy a quilt book, some fabric, a rotary cutter, and a sewing machine. Eighteen years and a bunch of quilts later, she still loves playing with color and design in her quilts.
